Popular now is the use of “tags” for addressing cards, as opposed to using  envelopes….

Simplicity is key

June 22, 2009

One page says it all

One page says it all

Keep it simple with this single page design on recycled paper. Little yellow petals in the background make it such a pretty invitation card. The sheer ribbon adds a handcrafted look to it.

Wedding cards have gone through different trends over the years, afrocentric cards included… one of the popular trends is to have cards designed that do not require an envelope. Some believe this makes the cost of the card come down, others want to keep their cards very simple that way.

The mode of delivery of the wedding cards is key in making the decision on the use of envelopes. The type of card is another factor, handcrafted cards with embellishments stuck on them, like most afrocentric ones would be, do best with some kind of protection, cards that will be posted will doubtless require envelopes, whereas those that are hand delivered can do without.

At the end of the day, this is a personal decision and each couple must decide what works for them.

Birth Announcements

April 9, 2009

The wedding was a great success… every last thank you card has been sent out to acknowledge gifts. Now there is another great event on the horizon… the birth of  baby. Getting everyone round to gether to see the new baby may be quite a feat, yet all the relatives and friends would love a glimpse of this new addition to the family. Keep it simple by sending out Birth Announcements. These can be done with an afrocentric feel , adding that special touh to the cards. Each one comes complete with a photo of the new baby, the perfect keepsake for close family and friends.

Handcrafted – from the word handicraft…. to make something using manual skill.

Our handcrafted cards, most of which have an afrocentric feel or are african theme based, all have great individuality and character. Great care is taken with each card to ensure that it maintains just that. With the african themed ones, the beadwork is carried out by maasai women community groups, each bead design, being painstakingly made to specific design.

We as Envision Tarizi, are proud to be supporting local enterprise and uplifting the economic status of the rural woman.

Happy New Year! We here in Kenya have eagerly been awaiting a fresh new year and it is here.
Colours… themes…. this year …..
Judging from the economic state worldwide at the end of the year, wedding budgets are bound to get tighter. Smaller weddings will be the way to go, with more focus on details.
Afrocentric themes round nature are worth considering such as forest theme, jungle theme and safari theme.
Grey is in this year, so are accents of plum, purples and blues. For an afrocentric feel, try grey and moss green.
This year. be creative …. let us at Envision Tarizi work with you on your wedding invitations and event invitations.
May all your hopes and dreams come true this year, may we continue to enjoy peace.
