To envelope or not to envelope

Wedding cards have gone through different trends over the years, afrocentric cards included… one of the popular trends is to have cards designed that do not require an envelope. Some believe this makes the cost of the card come down, others want to keep their cards very simple that way.

The mode of delivery of the wedding cards is key in making the decision on the use of envelopes. The type of card is another factor, handcrafted cards with embellishments stuck on them, like most afrocentric ones would be, do best with some kind of protection, cards that will be posted will doubtless require envelopes, whereas those that are hand delivered can do without.

At the end of the day, this is a personal decision and each couple must decide what works for them.
